SIEMENS: New Revelations
Continuing his investigation into the SIEMENS scandal, Tasos Telloglou brings new facts to light about Greece’s most significant case of political corruption and bribery. The New Files traveled to the Principality of Liechtenstein, a country long known for its ‘secure’ banking system. In a revealing interview, the country’s Attorney General describes how his special police officers became the first to identify the accounts used for the SIEMENS slush funds, held in several banks including even that of the royal family of Lichtenstein. The New Files reveal the notes handwritten by the Greeks, the extraordinary trail of money transfers around the multimillion euro security systems set up for the 2004 Olympic Games, the OTE contracts and the account used to fund the two major political parties in Greece.
