Milososki: “A very irrational problem”
In his exclusive first interview on Greek television, Foreign Minister of FYROM, Antonio Milososki, characterizes the dispute over his country’s name as, “A very irrational problem.” He tells Sofia Papaioannou and The New Files that one day our children will look back and laugh. The New Files ask the Foreign Minister about the recent strain on relations between Athens and Skopje due to his government’s decision to rename the capital’s airport “Alexander the Great Airport”. He responds without hesitation that the Greek authorities should be pleased that their neighbours have chosen to honour such an important figure in Greek history. Sofia Papaioannou questions the Foreign Minister about all the hot-button issues between Athens and Skopje.
